The Comics News Tracker (CNT) is all about you, the user. In today's Web 2.0 terms, CNT is a user driven, social content Web site. What that means is you, the community, decide what makes it onto this Web site. Everything on the CNT Web site is submitted by the CNT community. After you submit your content, it's held in a queue and other members of the CNT community will read your story and vote on it if they like it. If your story receives enough votes, it'll be catapulted to the front page of the Web site where everyone will see it.
What can you do as a member of the CNT community? Well, there's the voting, naturally, but you can also bury a story if it's spam or simply if you don't like it. You can comment on stories. You can even vote on comments under the stories! So, if someone leaves a particularly stirring comment, you can tell 'em so! Of course, you can also vote down a comment if it's stink on a stick.
What kind of stories can you submit? Anything related to the world of comic books, comic strips, comic book TV or films, manga or online comics. Pretty much anything comics related is fair game. Did your favorite creator write something fascinating on their blog and you want the world to know about it? Submit it to CNT! Did your favorite online comic tackle a particularly sensitive subject today and you think the users of CNT will find it interesting? Submit it to CNT! Anything and everything related to the world of sequential art is fair game here.
Where should I begin, you ask? How about clicking on the Queued Stories link on the right hand side and check out some of the stories recently submitted to the Web site. Once you're done there, head back to the front page and see what stories people find interesting today.
Welcome to the Comic News Tracker. Stay awhile. Have a cup of java. Relax.
